Dr. Jaswant Singh Pannu graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He started practicing in the Ft. Lauderdale area in 1971 and became one of the most experienced and respected surgeons in the country, performing over 20,000 refractive procedures.
As an international ophthalmic surgeon he specialized in treating diseases of the eye and improving vision through cataract and refractive surgery. Recognized as one of the nation's leading surgeons, Dr. Pannu published over 60 scientific publications and articles, as well as several books. He traveled the world extensively giving lectures and was the first Recipient of the International Gold Medal Award of the Intraocular Lens Implant Society of India and also the Annual Gold Medal Award winner of the Vishvas Eye Foundation for his contributions to the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Pannu was a pioneer in his field, holding several patents for inventions of ophthalmic instruments, including the popular Pannu Intra Ocular Lens . Today surgeons all over the world use his techniques and inventions.
